Recording, Pt. 4

IT'S ALL DONE! We just need to clip some talking off the beginnings and ends and the demo will be complete. I don't think we're gonna bother much with cover art and whatever with the CDs/tapes, we just wanna get it out to as many people as possible. It'll also be for free download on the webs too, I'll post a link when it's ready.

We're gonna start writing new shit soon, I think more experimental kinda Converge-y storta stuff. Maybe.

Recording, Pt. 3

It got delayed again because of stuff. Probs won't happen for ages. Just when I thought the band was rolling again..

In other news, I've been writing geets for another band that myself and Chas are starting. At the moment it'll just be a recording thing, so that the end result is only our creative input, and if anyone's interested they can learn it and play shows with us. Chas is lyrics/vocals, I am guitar/bass, and hopefully Julian will record the drums with us. Expect sludgy hardcore/grind-violence crap.

Recording, Pt. 2

We were gonna finish recording on Saturday afternoon but Tom had other plans (namely a bit of the old in-out in-out). It is unsure when this will be completed. Hopefully soon.

Also, the demo will have seven songs and no Siege cover. That shit will be played live. We're not sure how many tapes will be made but it will be available for free download on the webz as well.

Post of Boredom

This is a post born of boredom that will show pictures of past jamzillas, taken by Leo.

Julian (drums).

Mitch (bass).

Tom (sound engineer? Hah).

Chas (ex-drums, band best-friendz0r).

Zac (guitar).

I hope you thoroughly enjoyed this post, you bastards.

Recording, Pt. 1

Last night, after many many failed attempts at getting everyone together, we pumped out some mad jams while Tom Braby (AKA T., T-Bribbs, or Tom Braby and the Foxy Ladies) recorded on his laptop. For each song we did guitar, bass and drums and then in a second recording, vocals over the top. All up four songs were done in full, and a further three will be recorded tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon.

Since the last post I have come into possession of a tape dubbing-facility, so the demo will probs be on tape. Fuck yeah.

YOU CAN BE A CITIZEN WITHOUT A DICK, BUT YOU CAN'T BE A DICK WITHOUT CITIZEN

We (I) have decided to start a blog, rather than just using MySpace. The band is called Citizen and there are four of us. Leo does singsies, Zac plays geets, I play bass and Julian shreds the drums. We are set to record our first demo within the next couple of weeks, which will have like seven or eight songs (including a Siege cover). This blog will document the shit out of what we do.

(By the way, we try to play fastcore but fail.)
